David Thomson is chairman of Thomson Reuters. Reuters content, available in over 16 languages, reaches billions of people worldwide every day, and serves broadcasters, publishers, and governments, among others. David Thomson is the grandson of Roy Thomson, Lord Thomson of Fleet, proprietor of The Sunday Times from 1959 to 1976.
Thomson is also a chairman of Woodbridge, the Thomson family investment company, and chairman of The Globe and Mail Inc., the Canadian media company. He is an active private investor with a focus on real estate and serves on the boards of several private companies. He has a Masters degree from Cambridge University.
