Adrees Latif

Adrees Latif is a Pakistani-American photojournalist and editor with a career spanning over three decades of news, sports, conflict, natural disasters, and long-form storytelling. Stories he has covered include the 2010 Pakistan floods, and the effects of Hurricane Sandy in 2014; he spent a year documenting migration from Mexico to Texas across the Rio Grande. In his 28 years with Reuters, Latif has been based in Houston, Los Angeles, Bangkok, Islamabad, and New York. He was the recipient of the 2008 and 2019 Pulitzer Prizes for Breaking News Photography and, as editor, he has curated/edited every Pulitzer Prize the Reuters pictures team has been awarded to date. 

Latif started his professional career aged 16, freelancing for weekly newspaper The Suburbia Reporter and the Houston Chronicle, before landing a staff job at The Houston Post.
