Andrew Marr

Andrew Marr is one of the most familiar reporters, journalists, presenters and interviewers in the UK. He has edited The Independent national newspaper, led the BBC’s political coverage, and presented documentaries about political, economic, and cultural history. 

Marr is a prolific author, writing books to accompany his TV documentaries, such as the bestselling History of Modern Britain, delving into painting and drawing, and publishing political thrillers. He presents his own programmes on radio stations LBC and Classic FM, as well as a podcast for station owners Global, and is political editor of The New Statesman.

Throughout his long career in political journalism, he has received many awards, including a BAFTA for Best Specialist Factual Documentary, a Royal Television Society Award for Best Presenter for the documentary series Andrew Marr’s History of Modern Britain, and the 2017 Royal Television Society Scotland Current Affairs Award for Scotland and the Battle for Britain.
